offers nursery through 2 years old at all of our services and Sunday
School. Children's Church is only offered at our 11 am worship for
children ages 2-5th grade. All Webkidz classes are located in the
Christian Life Center.
El Centro has Sunday School at 2:30 and service at 4:30. They meet in the Chapel Building. Their service is in Spanish but they welcome anyone who would like to come. You can reach Pastor Robert Fernandez at 828-399-0109.
Business Meeting is canceled for January 19: The
elders, deacons and staff revisited our quarterly business meetings. In the past we have always started in
January. However, we usually have a
business meeting in December to approve the budget, among other business. We have adopted a new quarterly
schedule: The third Sunday of
March/June/September/December at 6 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
SMPCC Bottle Campaign will start the first Sunday in January. The Smoky Mountain Pregnancy Care Center is a non-profit ministry located in Cullowhee and in Franklin. They are a pro-life ministry and provide counseling, nursing visits, and ultrasounds. They also provide classes for parents to earn points and then shop for clothes and supplies. We support SMPCC in our budget as well as promoting their fundraisers. You can pick up a bottle on January 4. You can collect money in the bottle over the month of January or just put a check written to SMPCC in the bottle. Please fill out the information sheet in the bottle if you would like tax deductions.
El Centro has their midweek service on Tuesdays at 7:30 pm in the Chapel here at Webster Baptist Church. Their service is in Spanish, but everyone is welcome to come. They have classes for children and the youth group meets downstairs, all in the same building.
5:30 pm Wednesday Dinner: We provide a home cooked meal. The first Wednesday night of each month will be a combined testimony and praise night in the Chapel. All other Wednesdays for this semester, there will be 2 classes offered: a parenting class led by Jamie and Alena Melton will meet in the Fellowship Hall and a study on the book of Romans in the Chapel led by Pastor Scott.
First Wednesday of each month everyone will meet in the Chapel for a combined Wednesday night of testimony and praise. The parenting class starts January 15 and will meet all of the other Wednesdays until the class is finished.
Recovery is a Christ-centered, Biblically-based recovery ministry. We
have weekly fellowship and support meetings which deal with real-life
issues, including divorce, co-dependency, anger control, chemical
dependency, sexual addictions, hurtful relationships, eating disorders,
depression and other addictive, compulsive or dysfunctional behaviors. CR
meeting begins in the Sanctuary of our Old Building at 6:30 pm. The
second hour of CR is split into men's and women's small groups. We
provide free child care and child care is located in the Christian Life
